Product overview
Applications
What we manufacture: 2 ply single face corrugated rolls
A corrugated roll is corrugated board without the second liner. One kraft liner is glued to one fluted medium, so the board stays flexible along the flute direction and can be wound on a roll. That is the 2 ply corrugated roll, also called single face corrugated roll or corrugated paper roll, and we manufacture it at Shapar-Veraval GIDC in B, C and E flute with 120 to 180 GSM kraft and semi-kraft liners, in widths up to 1500 mm.
The job of a corrugated wrapping roll is full-coverage surface protection at the lowest cost per square metre. The flutes face the product and cushion light knocks; the liner faces out, keeps the surface clean and takes tape and labels. It wraps shapes that a box cannot: a door, a stair rail, a bundle of pipes, a brass tap body, a wardrobe side panel.
In Gujarat the buyers are furniture and door makers, pipe and steel section fabricators in Rajkot, Jamnagar brass and sanitary fitting exporters, and engineering shops that interleave parts in a crate. We also supply it as a corrugated sheet roll cut into pads and sheets for layer pads inside our custom corrugated boxes.
Corrugated roll size, flute and liner specifications
Corrugated roll size is set by width and flute. Width is slit to your requirement up to 1500 mm; flute sets the board thickness and how tightly the roll wraps. The liner is 120 to 180 GSM kraft or semi-kraft, the same range we use for boxes.
| Flute | Approximate height | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| E flute | About 1.5 mm | Tight wraps on small parts, brass fittings and polished hardware; follows curves closely |
| B flute | About 2.5 mm | General-purpose corrugated roll for furniture packing, doors and panels; good crush resistance |
| C flute | About 3.6 mm | Pipes, steel sections and heavy fabricated parts where more cushioning per wrap is needed |
| 120 GSM liner | Lightest | Interleaving and dust cover where the wrap is not handled roughly |
| 150–180 GSM liner | Heaviest | Export wraps and parts that are stacked, strapped or slid on the liner face |
The flute letters are explained in the flute types glossary entry, with the full chart in corrugated flute types chart. Where a specification calls for tested board, liner and board are tested to IS 2771 as for our boxes, and the values are stated on the quote.
How to choose a corrugated roll: flute, liner GSM and width
Flute. Choose by how tightly the wrap must follow the shape and how much cushioning it must give. E flute at about 1.5 mm bends round a 50 mm fitting without cracking the liner; B flute at about 2.5 mm is the default for flat panels and doors; C flute at about 3.6 mm gives the most cushioning per wrap for pipes and sections that are handled by crane and sling.
Liner GSM. 120 GSM is enough for interleaving inside a crate. Move to 150 or 180 GSM where the liner face is strapped, slid across a truck bed or exposed to export handling, because a torn liner stops protecting the surface under it.
Width. Match the roll width to the part, not the other way round. A 1500 mm roll wraps a wardrobe side in one pass; a 300 mm slit roll wraps a pipe bundle with less waste. For a finished face, wrap in 1 to 3 mm EPE foam sheet first and put the corrugated roll over it, then stretch film over the board; never put film or board straight onto a fresh finish. The sequence is in furniture packaging materials.
How we fabricate corrugated rolls
The liner and fluting medium are specified to your order, then the medium is fluted to B, C or E profile and glued to the single liner in one pass, leaving the flute face open. The single-face board is wound onto rolls and slit to the widths on your order, up to 1500 mm.
Where you need pads rather than wrap, the same board is cut to sheets or layer pads to your dimensions and supplied flat, which is how corrugated sheet roll stock becomes the interleaving layer in a crate or the pad between layers in a carton. Rolls are strapped and film-wrapped for dispatch so the flute face is not crushed in transit; a crushed flute is a flat sheet that no longer cushions.
Because the same plant makes our boxes, partitions and foam profiles, the corrugated roll is quoted as part of a pack: roll for the faces, paper edge protectors or EPE profiles for the corners, stretch film to bind it.

Corrugated roll price: what decides the quote
There is no fixed price list. Corrugated roll price is quoted per roll, with the per-kg basis stated, within one working day against your specification and quantity. Five things move the number.
- Liner GSM. Paper is the main cost element; a 180 GSM kraft liner uses more fibre than a 120 GSM semi-kraft liner.
- Flute. Flute profile sets how much medium goes into each square metre of board.
- Width and slitting. Full-width rolls up to 1500 mm are the base; multiple narrow slit widths add setup and trim.
- Format. Roll is the base; sheets and layer pads cut from the same board add cutting.
- Quantity and freight. Rolls are bulky for their weight, so freight is quoted to your door by lane and larger consignments cost less per roll.
Send the width, flute, liner GSM and number of rolls, or the part you are wrapping, and we return a per-roll quote.
MOQ, lead time and dispatch from Rajkot
MOQ is set per specification. A standard B flute roll in a stock width runs at lower quantities than a special liner GSM or a set of narrow slit widths; the quote states the quantity at which each option makes sense. Lead time is stated on the same quote, and recurring supply is scheduled against your production plan.
Dispatch lanes from Shapar-Veraval: Rajkot and Saurashtra same day or next morning; Morbi, Jamnagar and Gondal 1 day; Ahmedabad, Surat and Vadodara 1 to 2 days; Maharashtra, MP and Rajasthan 2 to 3 days; South and East India 4 to 6 days.
Corrugated wraps are ISPM-15 exempt, so export consignments need no fumigation certificate, and container stuffing at Mundra or Kandla is coordinated with your CHA.
Corrugated roll HSN code
The corrugated roll HSN code is 4808 10 00, corrugated paper and paperboard in rolls or sheets. Boxes made from the same board are 4819 10 10 and other cartons 4819 10 90. Confirm the 8-digit item with your CA or CHA before the first invoice; we invoice under GST 24CUBPJ4107N1ZP and match the code on your purchase order. The full list is in our post on HSN codes for packaging materials.

Frequently asked questions
What is a 2 ply corrugated roll?
A 2 ply corrugated roll is single face corrugated board: one kraft liner glued to one fluted medium, with the flute face left open so the board bends along the flutes and winds onto a roll. It is used as a wrapping material rather than a box material, giving full surface coverage and light cushioning on furniture, doors, pipes, steel sections and brass fittings of any shape.
Which flute should I choose for a corrugated wrapping roll?
E flute, about 1.5 mm, follows tight curves on small fittings and polished hardware. B flute, about 2.5 mm, is the general-purpose choice for furniture, doors and panels with good crush resistance. C flute, about 3.6 mm, gives the most cushioning per wrap for pipes and heavy fabricated sections. Larger flutes cushion more but wrap less tightly round small radii.
What corrugated roll sizes do you make?
Widths are slit to your requirement up to 1500 mm, in B, C or E flute with 120 to 180 GSM kraft or semi-kraft liners. A full-width roll suits wardrobe sides and doors in one pass; narrow slit widths suit pipe bundles and fittings with less waste. The same board is also cut to sheets and layer pads where you need a flat pad rather than a wrap.
Is a corrugated roll suitable for furniture packing?
Yes, as the second layer. Wrap finished faces in 1 to 3 mm EPE foam sheet first, put the corrugated roll over the foam, fit EPE profiles or paper edge protectors on corners and edges, then bind with stretch film over the board. Film or board straight onto a fresh finish can mark it. Flat-pack then goes into a fitted 5-ply or 7-ply carton.
What is the corrugated roll HSN code?
The corrugated roll HSN code is 4808 10 00, which covers corrugated paper and paperboard in rolls or sheets. Boxes made from corrugated board are 4819 10 10 and other cartons 4819 10 90. Confirm the 8-digit item with your CA or CHA before the first invoice; we match the code on your purchase order on our GST invoice.
How is corrugated roll price decided?
Corrugated roll price is quoted per roll, with the per-kg basis stated, against your specification and quantity. Liner GSM is the main element, flute sets how much medium goes into the board, full-width rolls cost less per square metre than multiple narrow slit widths, and sheets or pads cut from the roll add cutting. Rolls are bulky for their weight, so freight is quoted by lane.
Do you supply corrugated rolls in Jamnagar and Morbi?
Yes. Morbi, Jamnagar and Gondal are on a 1 day lane from Shapar-Veraval, which covers Jamnagar brass and sanitary fitting exporters and Morbi ceramic plants. Rajkot and Saurashtra are same day or next morning, and Ahmedabad, Surat and Vadodara are 1 to 2 days. Recurring supply can be scheduled against your production plan.
